One woman’s journey from lost to found…
With her job, with her single status and with the never ending line of rubbish men on Tinder. Tired of going through the motions of seeming happy, Everly wants to be happy! So, in a spontaneous moment of bravery (perhaps spurred on by a few cocktails) Everly books a holiday. Time away, alone, to find out what she really wants from life.
Everly’s search for happiness takes her to picturesque Swiss villages and the sunsets of glamourous Bermuda. But with every new stamp in her passport, Everly still feels as though something is missing… Could it be that true happiness is hard to find, until she finds herself?
✈🌴📚My thoughts on the novel✈🌴📚
Passport to Happiness tells the story of Everly, a young woman unhappy with her personal and professional life. To change things around, she embarks on a fun, action-packed adventure around the world, from the snow-topped mountains of Switzerland to the idyllic, tropical settings of Bermuda and Bali.
On her journey to self-realisation, Everly learns many valuable lessons about self-worth, friendship and love. I enjoyed how she navigated the highs and lows of her adventures. There are many twists and turns and a lovely, satisfying ending full of hope. I was simply annoyed by some characters like silly Tilly with whom Everly has to put up. But overall, they all serve a purpose and the novel conveys several profound messages.
An inspiring and escapist read for fans of Katy Colins and Eat, Pray, Love.
